Summer holidays abroad finally seem to be back on the agenda so make sure you are ready to hit the beach with a trip to Marriotts Walk shopping centre.

Summer footwear is, of course, a whole different ballgame for women used to covering up to keep warm in the British winter.

If you are heading to sunnier climes, banish the boots and splurge on some bling-tastic strappy shoes in metallic or with embellished jewels for nights out. Platforms continue to be a thing, whether on pumps, sandals or flip flops, while gladiator sandals are tipped to make a comeback. Espadrilles are tipped to be another popular choice for the summer and have excellent evergreen credentials.

Slides remain the choice of poolside footwear for men and women, while men may also want to consider loafers or canvas shoes for comfort in the hotter weather.

You can’t go wrong with vests, denim cuts off and a couple of dresses when packing for a holiday. Take your lead from the season’s fashions when choosing.
