Spring 2018 Fashion Trends For Her

What was your favourite piece or look from 2017? As we move in to the New Year, you may have been given a gift card for one of the retailers at Marriotts Walk, want to add some key pieces to your collection or your new mantra is ‘out with the old, in with the new’ and you fancy going for a completely fresh look altogether!

Whatever your reasons, looking ahead, here’s what’s going to be big in fashion for Spring Summer 2018.

4201_Purple

Lavender, lilac, Parma Violet – pastel purple colours are big for the New Year and a nice way to brighten up the dark, drab days. If you’re worried these pale shades won’t suit you and may make you look washed-out, then go for key statement accessories such as a bag or boots, or opt for a more pinky hue.

The Nieve Jacket in a grey purple Smoke colour from Phase Eight sums up this trend – a statement piece perfect for work or special events that will really turn heads.

You can find this trend at the following other retailers too: Accessorize, Cotton Traders, Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams, Evans, M&S and New Look.

4201_Blooms

Flowers are getting bigger and better each season. Never out of fashion; floral, feminine prints are going bold for 2018. If this print could talk it’d be saying ‘go hard or go home’.

The Black Floral Print Overlayer Jumpsuit from Wallis is by far the biggest bloom print we could find! We also love the Hand Knit Flower Beanie from Fatface – available in two different colour ways; it’s a super cute way to keep warm.

You can find this trend at the following other retailers too: Accessorize, Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams, Evans, JoJo Maman Bebe, M&S, Monsoon, New Look and Phase Eight.

4201_trench

A classic from the capsule wardrobe, the trench coat is a stylish piece that never goes out of style. Whether you shake off an old one and update it with new accessories or splash out and treat yourself to a new one, you really can’t go wrong. You’ll see the new updated trench with ruching, raw edges, embroidery, metallic stitching and even feathers!

We love the Black Patent Leather-Look Mac from New Look – a modern twist on the classic trench coat.

You can find this trend at the following other retailers too: Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams, M&S and Phase Eight.

4201_Fringe_festival

Is your New Year’s resolution to try new things? Be more daring? Not to worry about what other people think maybe? Big for 2018 is fringing, whether a little trim or full on slinky, you’ll feel fun, flirty and feminine. Step in to the New Year with a bit of va-va-voom!

The Pink Knit Fringe Sleeve Jumper by Quiz from Debenhams and the Black Bling Wrap Choker Necklace from Evans are both gorgeous and are perfect if you want to dip your toe in this trend but not dress head-to-toe tassels.

You can find this trend at the following other retailers too: Accessorize, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, M&S, New Look and Wallis.

4201_Denim

Think contrasting stitching, salvaged edges and a feminine tailored fit. Lots of designers featured dark denim on the catwalks, so it’s going to be a big look.

The Joni Denim Dress from Monsoon is perfect for the colder weather teamed with tights and your favourite knit. The Dark Wash Denim Maternity Mini Skirt from JoJo Maman Bebe ticks all the boxes for this trend too – a deep, dark blue denim with contrasting pale stitching.

You can find this trend at the following other retailers too: Cotton Traders, Evans, Fatface, M&S and New Look.

4201_SPORT

Big on the catwalks this time last year, Sports Luxe is back but even more sleek and sophisticated this time round.

This M&S COLLECTION Metallic Padded Gilet with Stormwear™ from Marks and Spencer encapsulates this trend – it’s modern, glam and practical at the same time.

You can find this trend at the following other retailers too: Accessorize, Crew Clothing, Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams and Tog24.

4201_Accessories

You may not be brave enough (or have the bank balance) to sport any of the weird and wonderful accessories written about by UK Vogue, so here are a few more wearable ones for you to try instead in 2018… think berets, straw bags and cowboy boots (not necessarily all worn at once!).

Here are our top three picks for this trend:

Star Stud Beret from Accessorize

Mimi Straw Shopper with Tassels Bag from Phase Eight

Green ‘Alicee’ Heeled Boots from Dorothy Perkins
